I took the kids to the dentist on Wednesday, and learned that Macy had 2 loose teeth, one of which was particularly loose, and she did not even realize it till the hygienist saw it. X-rays were taken and it was discovered that sure enough, her permanent teeth were just below the surface, so they are ready to come out. (Macy is about 1-1.5 years ahead of the game with this). Jeremy told Macy he would pay her a dollar to pull her tooth, so here is the before picture.
I suggested using dental floss to help get the tooth out--the back was totally out, only the front was attached.
Daddy showing Macy what her mouth looked like after the tooth came out. (The other one, next to it is not quite loose enough). You can see that Macy did cry a little, but after it was out, she never complained of pain. However, she was not able to eat her corn on the cob for dinner Friday night.
Daddy giving Macy her dollar. When we got home from Oklahoma, Macy placed her tooth under her pillow and found 2 gold dollars from the tooth fairy under her pillow the next morning! Macy was really sweet on Sunday, when we were getting ready for church in the morning I asked if Jeremy had given the kids money for the collection at church, and Macy wanted to give the dollar that Daddy gave her--daddy told her to save that dollar, and he would give her different money to give for the work of Jesus.
Macy's new smile.
