New Wheels

After our garage sale a couple of weeks ago, we earned enough money to buy Macy a new bike.  She was way too tall for her old Barbie one (12 in), and we got her a 20 in bike!  We encouraged her to pick a neutral color, so eventually, Jarett will get the hand-me-down.  She LOVES to ride it and has gotten brave enough to go fast down the hill, stand up while riding, and ride without hands.  Here favorite part is not the basket, but the hand brake, which she uses quite well.  

At first Jarett was a little sad that he could not get a bike, too, but we told him he got to ride with daddy, which he loves!  Our sweet neighbors gave us their old seat to attach to Daddy's bike.  We have taken several family bike rides lately on the cool evenings--soon Jeremy would like to attempt to remove the training wheels--we'll see if Macy is that brave!

The boy's have matching helmets, and mine is blue, too, so Macy and I match.
