Jeremy took the week off last week and we had a wonderful time.  Mon it rained, but after lunch, it cleared off and was beautiful and cool, so we went to the Dallas zoo from 1:15 till it closed at 5:00.  It was so fun to go with Daddy, and go when no one else was there--I don't know if the rain kept people away, or if it was b/c we went in the afternoon, but we had a wonderful time.  Of course, first we had to show daddy the white alligator, and the rattlesnakes.  We also went through the butterfly exhibit, saw the giraffes, then went to the Children's zoo where the kids rode the horse.

Next, we went to the petting zoo, and found out they were about to feed the ducks, so Macy and Jarett got a special treat--helping feed the ducks!
After we went through the underzone (or tunnels, as my kids call it), we got to feed the birds.  This is one of Macy's favorite things.  She probably could have stayed for hours holding the birds.

Daddy and Macy with birds--Macy's bird was VERY happy sitting on Macy and probably would have fallen asleep and stayed on her a long time, if Mom didn't want to go and do something else, but Macy did get to hold the bird for quite a long time.

After the birds, we stopped for a snack that I packed before we went to the zoo.  Then we went to see the monkeys and Kangaroos before heading to the penguins and gorillas.

The week was so much fun.  Jeremy and I went to lunch at a new favorite of mine, Chocolate Angel, and Jeremy loved the food as well.  I took the kids to a movie, while Jeremy worked in the yard, we cleared out stuff for a garage sale that took place on Fri, and we made enough money to buy Macy a treat...but I will save that for the next post.
