The Sting

Macy is in her first season of soccer.  She loves playing and is very good at running and kicking with her left foot, but doesn't have the aggressive part down yet.  I guess that is not a bad thing in most circumstances, but with soccer, you try to take the ball away from the other team.  Macy has really enjoyed practices on Tues evenings, making new soccer friends (her team is half girls and half boys), and her first actual game last Sat.  She will play another game this week, then will miss the rest of the season because of the move, but hopefully we can get her into soccer in Edmond this spring or next fall.

Macy picked her number for her jersey.  Here the coach is asking the kids which goal they are shooting at.  The Under 5 players have four from each team on the field at a time.  Macy thought it was funny that the team they played against was called the "fire ants."  Macy's team is "The Sting."

The smile on her face says it all!

Marin, one of her teammates scored most of the goals while Macy's team was on the field.  I think she has soccer in her blood.

Marin would drive the ball all the way down the feild, and Macy would run beside her.  Macy had the chance to score a couple of times, but missed the goal--May be she will have better luck and will make her first goal this Sat.
