We went to Northpark Wed with my mom, thank goodness, and got there at 10:00 to get our number (34) to see Santa. We went and heard a children's chorus, then listened to Santa's story time, then looked at the train exhibit, then went back around 12:30 and found that they were at number 30! We waited in line about 30 min to see Santa, and Macy froze and forgot to ask Santa for her 3 gifts! She just asked for one thing--this upset Macy a little, so she was able to talk to Santa at the HO HO HO Holiday breakfast at our church. I chose not to stand in line to purchase a photo, so just went home with what was on my camera. Thankfully I got some cute ones.
After Santa we ate lunch, then went a picked an angel from the Angel tree, the kids got to pick children about their age and pick for them things that they would like to have. I hope to be able to do this yearly, so that we can teach them that Christmas is not about receiving, but about giving, and God gave the most special gift of all, his Son. Then we watched the Scrooge puppet show (not child friendly), then got a cookie (the kids were hungry), then shopped a tiny bit, and finally headed home at 4:00!!! I was pooped, and that may be my swan song for Northpark Mall at Christmas time. We did get some cute pictures--enjoy.
Macy colored Santa a picture of Frosty the Snowman, and took it to Santa.
Jarett was not scared of Santa at all.
Jarett telling Santa, "I want a huge fire truck and a Thomas bath toy."
Macy told Santa that she wanted an Ariel bath toy (and then froze up).
Saying, "cheese"
The kids were especially proud of the books Santa gave them to color.
Macy was looking at the ducks and the turtles.
This display was made with nuts. Northpark is beautiful at Christmastime.
Checking out the train exhibit.

Macy sitting like a lady.
Waiting for Santa's story time to begin
